Introduction to the Theory of Entropy Blog

This website, and mainly the blog, looks to explore the possibility of advanced civilizations being on Earth in the past. You may be thinking, “Huh, Ancient Aliens anyone?”

That is a good thought, but I am looking at Terrestrial, sources only, so humans of the relatively near past (>500,000 years ago).

Nothing lasts forever, not on Earth anyways. Each week I will post a new blog entry, typically looking at how the erosion and degradation process’ on Earth could possibly erase evidence of past advanced civilizations.

Each post will provide evidence for how a specific material (metal, plastic, wood, etc.) could break down naturally from the environment.  The easiest way to describe the goal of this blog is this: if humans were to disappear today, would an advanced civilization in the future know we were here?  It may seem like a silly question with a simple answer (Yes they would know) but after diving into the possibility you may be surprised at how materials that “last forever” actually don’t.

I like to think of this as a conspiracy theory, but in actuality it isn’t a conspiracy at all, no one is trying to cover this up.  The reason being is that probably not many people have thought of this as a possibility.

If this is intriguing to you please sign up for my mailing list and (who uses mailing lists anymore?) follow Entropybook on twitter for updates and new posts!  I will be looking to post at least once a week.  Please feel free to post comments about the specific blog post in the comments section, or head over to the forums to request blog topics or ask any other questions you may have!
